Sovereign Body
A six week spring fortification of feminine power & creative vitality through liver energetics.
Sundays, April 26th - May 31st
Calling sacred rebels, threshold keepers mothers and medicine makers- I invite you into a space of righteous reclaimence, where rage and whimsy converge into the sacred passions of a sovereign body.
Join us for the second iteration of Sovereign Body, a spring attunement and fortification for this auspicious fire horse year. This high touch point container is designed for deep integrative liver tending spanning the physical and psycho-spiritual realm. From evidenced- based biological, ceremonial and and an integral oracular lens we’ll explore the psycho-cellular art of descent and rising: composting, visioning, nourishing and conjuring the inner Creatress as an embodied act of metabolic renewal this spring.
Across multiple constellations, we are being initiated into the reclaimence of feminine instinct, power and the creative sovereignty that is a woman’s metabolic vitality; her capacity to death and birth herself into deeper expressions of her medicine, magic, and connection to the divine again and again. The heat of the moment is real- an opportunity to alchemize old systems and stories into something truly life- giving.
Sovereign Body is the culmination of my insights and best practices tending the liver as I healed estrogen dominance and stage four endometriosis during early perimenopause. Our biliary health is a prominent functional container within which our minerals, metabolic health and molecules of emotion weave their homeostasis- yet we aren’t routinely taught how to support this organ system.
In addition to its biological importance, I’ve come to appreciate how the liver’s psycho-spiritual themes around power, vision, will and creativity mirror one another on cellular and psycho-spiritual dimensions- sovereignty begins where energetic outsourcing ends.
Our life force energy, vision and gall to embody truth and inspiration begins in the liver. It’s where non-self will makes way for true self-authority, where metabolic health is reclaimed through the resurrection of hunger, the intelligence of desire, sacred rage, and the erotic aliveness of what is truly life- giving.
A healthy liver doesn't just metabolize toxins but non-self narratives, beliefs, and identities which perhaps were never ours. Tonifying the liver, we hold the intention of clearing non-self will and metabolic debris inherited and accumulated that obscures our embodied truth, vision and erotic aliveness. We do so as an act of metabolic renewal and devotion in service to what is truly life- giving.
The heat of the moment is real, many of us are being called to expand our capacity to hold and do big work individually and collectively. Invoking village technology, as sisters we will create space for holding what is bigger than ours alone to carry, while midwifing and marking our desired spring threshold crossings together resurrecting the creatress within.

the Medicine Bundle
Liver-Loving Care: We’ll support our liver and biliary health through deep seasonal nourishment, not deprivation. You'll receive guidance for seasonally coherent, liver-loving meals, herbs, optional supplements, and practices to support detox pathways and biliary health. Science-based education focuses tending the epigenetic field in addition to biliary anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry. This foundational support prepares the body for the optional gallbladder flush, while vitalizing metabolic restoration. Each participant receives a care package with liver herbs, Mount Shasta foraged tea and smudge bundle (cedar, sage, rosemary, lavender), gallbladder flush supplies (epsom salt, chanca piedra, malic acid), and closing rose ceremonial cacao ingredients.
Gallbladder Flush: Following a female-body adaptation of Andrew Moritz's protocol, you'll learn a ten-day process to prepare and flush the liver/gallbladder — a powerful seasonal practice for supporting the body's detoxification pathways and clearing non-self will. The precise timing of the flush is individual, but occurring toward the end of our container. I consider the gallbladder flush a vital skillset for every woman to know how and when to implement in supporting overall liver, metabolic, gut, and hormone health.
Personalized Dieta: Dieta is an invitation to slow down and create space from habitual consumption of food, information, habits, even identities. This slow and steady spaciousness is prerequisite to receiving deeper intelligence. In lieu of communing with a specific plant, we hold the intention to commune with our deepest truth. By fasting from inputs that create noise and pull focus, we call back and direct our life-force energy toward what is truly life-giving. Woven with liver-loving care, your dieta may last anywhere from 10-21 days as you feel called. You’ll meet 1:1 with Sara to craft a personalized protocol, tailored to your unique psycho-cellular landscape.
Female Physiology Literacy: In addition to learning about the biliary tree and procedures relating to the gallbladder flush, we'll explore the functional constellations impacting women's molecules of emotion: histamine, estrogen, cortisol, and how these intersect with epigenetic expression and biochemical processes. Teachings are crafted to be digestible for those without a scientific background, with upper-level depth to satiate seasoned practitioners.
Group Divination; Working with the Kontomble: I am honored to welcome Aislinn Kercheart — dear sister, mentor, and medicine woman whose 1:1 and group work has been integral to my journey the last two years. Aislinn works within the lineage of Elder Malidoma Somé and the Dagara people of West Africa, transmitting the oracular wisdom of the Kontomble — reconnecting us to the supportive web of ancestors and earth spirits that has always held us. I believe reclaiming integral oracular practices and restoring our connection to ancestral lines does something genuinely epigenetic. We are deeply grateful to Aislinn and the Kontomble for the opportunity to bring our collective and personal seasonal themes into their council.
Village Technology & Ceremonial Arch: Our container is crafted that you may see and be seen and, over the course of six weeks catalyze your desired threshold crossing this spring. Throughout our six weeks, you'll receive ritual prescriptions, somatic practices, and mythopoetic shadow work prompts to guide your journey.
Six two hour live calls blending sharing circles, energy medicine, and focused research based women’s health teachings.
One comprehensive onbaording process (diet, lifestyle, health history) please send any and all lab work you’d like me to take into account when we design your dieta.
One 60 minute call with Sara for personalized guidance and coaching.
On-call support text support while completing your optional gallbladder flush.
A two hour group divinatory session with the beloved Aislinn Kercheart.
Ritual prescriptions, somatic practices, and mythopoetic shadow work prompts woven throughout our ceremonial arch.
Care package with liver herbs, a Mount Shasta foraged tea & smudge bundle (cedar, sage, rosemary, lavender),gallbladder flush supplies (epson salt, chanca piedra, malic acid), and closing rose ceremonial cacao ingredients.
Andrew Moritz’s original “The Amazing Gallbladder Flush” PDF and a tailored female- bodied flush protocol.

What is a Gallbladder Flush?
On a physical level, a gallbladder flush is a process of reducing gallbladder stone size over a 10 day period of time, concentrating bile, then dilating and contracting the gallbladder and bile ducts to release stones into the intestines for excretion.
Energetically, it is a potent invitation to release sticky emotions of anger associated with overriding your own will and sovereignty. Due to the deep nature of this work, completing the flush in a circle of women likewise is profoundly healing.
Our container is designed to prepare you for a flush, if you feel called. We will support detox pathways, methylation, and mineralization to prepare. You’ll additionally have real time text support from me during your flush for added support.
What is biliary stasis, and why does it matter for women?
Biliary stasis is the slowing or stagnation of bile flow from the liver through the gallbladder and into the intestines. Bile can become sluggish for several reasons: insufficient production, tissue inflammation impeding flow, or bile that has become too viscous to move efficiently. Increased toxicity burden, compromised methylation capacity, and poor redox status all stress biliary flow. As bile slows, it begins to congeal and accumulate as micro-stones and sludge, decreasing hepatocyte perfusion and oxygenation—liver cells receive fewer nutrients while waste products back up. The result is inflammation, cellular distress, and an overall decline in liver function.
For women, this matters. Twenty percent of women aged 50-65 have gallstones, compared to just 5% of men. An estimated 14.2 million women in the United States have gallbladder disease, and approximately 700,000 cholecystectomies are performed annually. Gallstone disease prevalence has doubled over the past three decades. Looking to our environmental inputs and stress, its no wonder.
Bile is one of the body's primary routes for eliminating conjugated estrogen. When bile flow slows, estrogen recirculates rather than exits. The gallbladder becomes a repository for decades of hormonal metabolites—copper deposits, cholesterol crystals, unexcreated estrogen byproducts—creating an inflammatory microenvironment where dysfunction compounds. Popular parasite cleanses and full moon detoxes do little to address the stagnant physical terrain that perpetuates imbalance. Restoring bile flow addresses the root.

Yes, gall bladder flushes have bean around for a long time, and are a powerful preventative health tool. You’ll enjoy the additional peace of mind of having a Nurse on-call when you do the actual flush.
-
You will receive a detailed protocol to prepare, and we will also discuss on the group call. I have found an intentional 10-day preparation ceremony to be most effective. During this time, you will limit fatty foods to concentrate your bile, and drink a tea blend and take a malic acid supplement to shrink gallstones. Additionally, you will bring mindful awareness to the consumption of aggravating energies (news, media, socials) and limit these additional energetic irritants. The preparatory process is a turning within to begin your own deepening and self ceremony, to bring awareness to what is coming up for clearing.
-
There aren’t too many required materials, some you may have on hand.

Fresh grapefruit (pink is best) - enough to squeeze 6 oz. (about 180 ml) of juice or use the same amount of fresh lemon and orange juice combined
Chanca Piedra Tea
Malic Acid Supplement
-
You will need one evening and one morning
-
You will go to the bathroom and experience loose diarrhea at night and upon finishing the epson salt/oilin themrning
-
Pregnancy, Diabetes, Chronic Constipion or bowel obstuction, if you are on chemothrapy medicines or have a stent in your bile duct

A gallbladder flush is one of the most beneficial things you can to support your overall liver/biliary tree health. It increases hepatic micro circulation- which improves cellular health and naturally decreases parasite load. Considering the 500+ functions of your liver, there hardly isn’t a physical symptom that isn’t improved when you love on your liver.
Of note- gallbladder removal surgery is incredibly common, 25% of women 40-49 have their removed secondary to gallbladder attacks and inflammation. I believe these attacks are in part symptomatic of accumulating toxic will, and not skillfully releasing anger.
My first two flushes, I cannot tell you how light and in love with life I felt- I bought myself flowers. However leads up to the flush ad bringing my focus to releasing in this area, brought up a lot of anger that as ready to release. It immediately knew that this was a ceremony I wanted to create for other women to do together, as the feelings are deep, but so is the healing.

Resurrecting the Sovereign Creatress
My first gallbladder attack arrived in the middle of a situation I didn’t yet have the clarity to name.
I was navigating a power dynamic with someone who had occupied the triple role of healer, mentor, and friend — the kind of entanglement where the will of another and that of self blur at their edges until the body draws a distinction the psyche hasn’t yet to name. The liver, seat of our authority and clarity of sight, the organ whose emotion is anger — she named it first. She always does.
Sacred Rage vs. Inflammatory Anger
Last spring I was in Antigua, Guatemala — a city literally fortified around volcanic activity — working with a somatic therapist I would begin referring to as my “Anger Doula.” From his perspective, I didn’t know how to skillfully work with my anger. He wasn’t wrong. Years of repression, contortion and the real felt sense healthy expression wasn’t safe had my body in loops of inflammation.
Spring is liver season. The wood element. Renewal, growth, the constancy of life insisting on itself through fallow soil. It’s also paired with the emotion of anger, which I think is so wise of nature to ask of us to first clarify our boundaries, where we place our life force energy.
What I have come to realize is renewal and rage are two sides of the same coin- we cannot have one without metabolizing the other. Yet most of us were never taught the difference between sacred rage and inflammatory anger, or how to support either. Which means we never learned that they are, in fact, different animals. If anything, women are taught to suppress both.
Sacred rage is precise. It is the compass needle that swings hard when a boundary has been crossed, when something is ready to die, when we are about to betray ourselves in a way that matters. It reveals what is loved and worth protecting. It is directional, intentional.
Inflammatory anger is what happens to sacred rage with nowhere to go. When the signals fire yet finds no resolution, no expression, no container adequate to metabolize it. In this way, it can becomes a psycho-cellular loop. Histamine surging. The liver overburdened, estrogen dominating, bile thickening, the entire detox architecture narrowing under the weight of what hasn’t been metabolized — emotionally, biochemically, both.
What is inflammation, if not the body’s most ardent effort to boundary against what is not life-giving?
This summer will mark a three year anniversary of the tower moment in the plant medicine space which catalyzed my midlife metabolic crisis. In my quest for sense making, I had given my power away to confidence masquerading as wisdom in an alleged healing space.
There were times that first year where I questioned if I had given myself endometriosis. I judged my anger around the unresolvable situation I found myself in as I could feel its impact on my liver. Underneath the anger: grief. For feelings of betrayal by the healer archetype, for all the ways the feminine is extracted, for the vulnerable parts of me that I didn’t protect, and for the deepening realization my “healing journey” up to that point may have been a thinly veiled attempt to bypass challenging experiences and emotions I wasn’t neither resourced nor skilled enough to metabolize at the time. Capacity is an interesting thing.
The question I keep returning to this spring as we endeavor the heat of our personal and collective transformations is what functional containers help us receive the wisdom of our anger, and then release it?
I've come to wonder whether escapism and inflammation aren’t two sides of the same coin. When our psycho-cellular footing is compromised, it seems we’re more vulnerable to reaching for intensity because we cannot yet access depth — as well as abdicating our power to whoever offers the most convincing illusion of certainty. I am still learning, in my own body, the difference between stimulation and sustainable energy. Between escapism and embodied spirituality. God really is in the dishes, but some days I crave more than chopping wood and carrying water.
While I believe there is good medicine in the psychedelic space, in retrospect I question whether my attraction to plant medicines moreso reflected a disconnection from my own inner vision. Perhaps this is why I keep returning to the liver.
The science and spirit of metabolic renewal
If we mapped Inanna’s descent on a cellular level, I believe she was passing through liver meridians.
The liver governs our life force, our creative will, our clarity of vision, and our gall — that exquisite word — to act in sacred, sovereign alignment. Biomedicine calls the gallbladder an accessory organ- I call it the seat of our capacity to act on what we know is true. In TCM the liver-channel feeds the eyes, connecting our will, our gall, to the directionality of our unique vision.
When the liver is overburdened our vitality narrows. Our vision narrows. The low hum of undifferentiated anger rises. The channel connecting sight to sovereign action becomes congested, and with it, our ability to clearly perceive what is life-giving and act accordingly.
I have found the nature of the anger stored in the liver accumulates precisely where we have abdicated our power — whether by conditioning as women, force, or simple ignorance. Repressed anger and suppressed immunity often travel the same terrain. The structural reality of living in late-stage extractive systems is not separable from the inflammatory load carried in women’s bodies. When we are chronically asked to suppress, to accommodate, to betray our truth — the liver stores what the psyche cannot yet metabolize. In this way, individually, collectively, we’ve arrived at a flash point- the old systems no longer work.
I believe initiations are endogenous psycho-spiritual expanders. Yet a depleted, inflamed substrate struggles metabolize what it cannot hold. Tending the liver is, in this way, a revolutionary act. Is there anything more political than preparing the soil for what is desiring to be born?
Joy as phoenix medicine
Yung Pueblo writes that when the pain is deep, you have to release it many times.
I recently sat with a trusted elder who gently reflected that it was time to release. Not resolve — release. Resolution suggests the story is concluded. Release means the body is done carrying what the psyche might still be chewing on.
I believe our personal expansions will only ever reflect what we have truly laid to rest. No mud, no lotus. No compost, no nutrients, no harvest. And yet — this is where I think a lot of descent-centered medicine stops too soon. Descent is a part of our initiation- but it is meant as an attunement not an oroboros.
I often work with Women who have been labeled as being “stuck in four low’s” (burnout) on a hair mineral test. Conventional mineral balancing wisdom would have them continue a low stimulation, deep nourishment phase while perhaps exploring what functional container may require more support. Yet I’ve found this lexicon for lacking.
It is not enough to descend. It is not enough to rest. It’s not enough to metabolize anger, to release, to compost what has served its season.
Another question living in me this spring, the one that feels like the actual medicine is not what am I releasing but what am I resurrecting for?
I believe the descent journey is a psycho-cellular and spiritual attunment to something more intrinsically, authentically life giving. A Sovereign Creatress does not rise because the burden was set down- she rises because she has something she cannot not create- a work, a love, a vision so aligned with her soul’s particular genius that it functions as its own metabolic force.
Ray Peat named it plainly: a person’s vitality is drawn forward by meaningful work. We grow to meet the demand of an important opportunity. Similarly our mitochondria do not strengthen and regenerate through ease but hormetic demand — the right challenges, at the right intensity, within an adequate container. Descent works the same way, except the joy felt in self-resurection is not some carrot at the end of a healing journey. Joy is metabolic fuel, the thing the phoenix is actually made of.
What we are asked to reclaim as women expands far beyond our voice and truth, its the rightfulness of our joy and pleasure as divine guidance.
Joy is a metabolic strategy. The creatress who has a vision — a genuine, heart-drawn, soul-sourced reason to rise — has a fundamentally different hormonal and metabolic environment than one who is simply enduring. We cannot separate creative fire from metabolic fire- they are the same fire. When we tend one, we tend the other. When we reclaim our creative sovereignty, we are also, literally, healing our liver. When we support our liver, we recover the clarity of sight and gall to follow our deepest calling- which supports our deepest joy- which is the ultimate metabolic hack.
I submit that joy is not a reward at the end of the healing journey. Joy is metabolic fuel, the thing the phoenix is actually made of.
